I was fortunate enough to work with Biff Ward, one of the founding members of the Canberra Women’s Liberation group in the 1970s, on Monday at the March 4 Justice. A documentary that features Biff and other feminist activists from the time is on ABC iView right now - it’s called Brazen Hussies and is narrated by Sigrid Thornton, whose parents were also active in the movement. Well worth a watch if you’re interested in the history of the women’s movement in Australia.
That’s all this week; it’s been a busy one. Take care.
